Who makes the festival happen
The festival is organised by the Coordinadora d’Entitats de la Verneda – Sant Martí (VERN), with the support of the Sant Martí District, and made possible by local associations. The children’s programme comes from the Colla Gegantera de la Verneda, the Diables de la Verneda and Guspires de Sant Martí (celebrating 10 years), the Castellers de Barcelona, the AV Sant Martí de Provençals, the AV Provençals de la Verneda, the AV La Palmera, the Amics Plaça de la Infància, the municipal children’s centres and toy libraries, ASME, Gossos Sant Martí de Provençals, the Gabriel García Márquez Library, the Casal de Barri Ca l’Isidret and INTEGRAR-T. The poster is by Azagra Revuelta. Thank you all: without you there would be no festival.
Drawing contest for kids aged 7 to 17
Until 9 November the festival drawing contest is open, in three age groups: 7 to 9, 10 to 13 and 14 to 17. Drawings can be handed in mornings, 10 am to 1.30 pm, at the Casal de Barri La Pau (3rd floor), or afternoons, 4.30 to 8.30 pm, at the Institut Bernat Metge (enter through the playground). Prizes are given out on Tuesday the 10th at the Mini Festa Major in Parc de Sant Martí, and the drawings are on show from 1 to 30 November on the 3rd floor of the Centre Cívic Sant Martí.
🎪 The rules are on evern.org. And if you have a pet: until 2 November you can enter its photo in the «Estimo la meva mascota» contest on Instagram (@gossos_sant_marti); prizes are awarded on Sunday the 8th at the Festa dels animals.

The festival is spread across Sant Martí de Provençals and La Verneda i la Pau, all close to the metro. Plaça del 25 de Novembre is right by La Pau station (L2 and L4). Parc de Sant Martí (La Gàbia), the Rambleta de Selva de Mar, the Civic Centre and the Gabriel García Márquez Library are about 300 m from Sant Martí (L2). Plaça de la Infància, Plaça dels Porxos and the Espai Zamenhof are close to Bac de Roda (L2). Plaça de la Palmera and the Casal Ca l’Isidret are about 500 m from Besòs (L4) and La Pau.
🎪 Line L2 links all four areas in a few stops (Bac de Roda, Sant Martí and La Pau are consecutive), so from El Clot or the Eixample you can get there without changing.
Correfoc and fire: what suits little ones and what doesn’t
The 2026 programme has no children’s correfoc. On Saturday the 7th there is a “devilish snack” at 6 pm in Plaça de la Palmera and, right after, the 36th Tabalada i Correfoc by the Diables de la Verneda and Guspires de Sant Martí: drumming at 7 pm from Ca l’Arnó, a show at 7.30 pm in Plaça de la Palmera and the correfoc at 8 pm. On Sunday the 15th at 8 pm, “Cremem el final de Festa” closes the festival with fire and fireworks in Parc de Sant Martí, and that same day at 9 am the Trabucaires de Sant Martí fire their blunderbusses in “Aixeca’t Sant Martí”.
🎪 The programme flags these events as noisy and asks people sensitive to noise, especially children, to take precautions. If you go: long-sleeved cotton clothes, a cap, closed shoes and ear protection, and it is best to watch from a side street.

Rambla de Guipúscoa is the festival’s spine: it links Plaça del 25 de Novembre, by La Pau metro, with the Rambleta de Selva de Mar and the Centre Cívic Sant Martí, roughly a kilometre of pedestrian boulevard that is easy with a pushchair. Parc de Sant Martí (La Gàbia) is the venue with the most children’s plans: the schools’ dance, the Festa dels animals, the Mini Festa Major, the Latin party and the family treasure hunt.
All the children’s plans in the programme are free. What you pay for is separate and optional: the botifarra sandwich at the Espai Zamenhof (€4, €1 for members), the community lunch on Sunday the 15th (€10) and the show “Vides en escena” on Saturday the 14th (€5). Shows at the Auditori Sant Martí can be booked from 27 October at the Civic Centre or on 932 565 760.
Parent to parent: with ten days of festival you don’t need to do everything. On Saturday the 7th you can start with the capgrossos in Plaça dels Porxos at 11 am and carry on at Plaça de la Infància, which has activities all day. And for the parade on Sunday the 15th, wait for it on Rambla de Guipúscoa or Carrer de l’Agricultura: there is more room than at the start.
